“God, Cassie, I’m so confused. I’m sure tomorrow I will wake up and this will all be a dream.” He clenched and unclenched his hands, “Why don’t you just start talking.”

View From My Writing Window

The view from my writing window is an ever-changing panoramic of seasons and visitors. Now as spring gets a firmer grasp on the weather more and more feathered friends are dropping by.

A Great Blue Heron looking for a quick meal,

Canada Geese that never fail to announce their presence with raucous honking. It often seems as if they're demanding that I stop whatever I'm doing to watch and admire them.

Several deer herds wander through to graze in the pastures. However, these three beauties are my most frequent visitors. I can almost set my watch by them.

And as twilight falls, you can plainly see, they aren't the least put off by my watch dog. For his part, Sabu seems as entranced by them as I am.

Is it any wonder I often have trouble getting any writing done?

This book was great. Watching Metta come into her own is an utter delight. Once again RE Mullins has delivered a strong but flawed female character who can handle herself and does not need a man to rescue her. She can slay the dragons herself!

One of the most enjoyable things about this series of books, is funnily enough, the men. Although frustrated with their women at times, they also derive great pleasure in being outsmarted and outgunned by them. One of the most enjoyable things for me about these books are that there is an actual story, they're not just love stories. Once again there are hints about future books, at least I hope they're hints. Because I'm dying to know how Michaela became so screwed up. Well, apart from the obvious.

Each book in the series focuses on different members of the vampire family. Each story has its own ending. However, some readers feel that reading them in order increased their enjoyment.
